Level Up!

Why We Haven’t Advanced To The Next Level?

Lately I have been feeling stuck. Feeling stuck is never a good feeling, but there is something that I realized after meditation and praying that I felt is important to share.

I remember as a kid I would love to play Mario 3. I used to play it over and over until I mastered every level and found all the little secret spots in the game. We all know that with video games, You can’t go to the next level until you beat the first. I thought about this in regards to where I am in my life. I am currently in a situation that I am not the happiest about. I have thought about multiple ways to get out of the situation without letting other people down. I prayed and meditated about the situation and when I reflected on it, I learned that sometimes we have lessons that we have to learn before we advance to the next level. My level just happens to be reaching the next goal in life and I seem to be stuck on the same stupid level.

Normally, I am pretty good at wiggling out of unwanted situations in my life, but I feel this time is different. Could I find a way today? Right now? Yes. However, I know in my heart it is not the right choice. I want to advance to the new level without feeling like I used a cheat to get there. I have to figure out the lesson I am supposed to learn from this before I move on, and now I understand that clearly.

Despite not being that happy with things, I have found peace through this realization, which has made everyday more sunny in terms of my disposition and mental health. I guess what I am trying to say is if you are in a situation, and you can’t leave it right away, try to find the lesson and the positive aspects. When you learn what you need, you will find a way to level up. Your goals can and will be met, but sometimes we have to enjoy playing the game and not focus to hard on leveling up too fast.

However, there is always a caveat. If you are in a situation that is putting you in direct danger or mental abuse, please leave immediately. This guidance is only intended for people who are unhappy about not reaching a particular goal in life.
